We buy fabric and trims in small lots from mills and traders we've worked with for years, rather than ordering in bulk from a catalogue. That means a print or a weave you love might not be available again once it's used up — we don't reprint or re-weave to match, since that's part of what keeps each piece a little bit its own. If a fabric is limited, we'll tell you plainly rather than let you assume it's a permanent option.

Every order is packed flat with tissue between the layers, so embroidery and delicate trims don't crease or catch on each other in transit. Accessories like belts or potli bags are wrapped separately inside the same package. We don't add branded boxes or ribbon by default, since most of what you're paying for is the work on the garment itself — if you need gift packaging for an occasion, just ask and we'll sort it out.

If your measurements fall between two of our standard sizes, we'd rather you choose Custom and send us your own numbers than guess and hope for the best. There's no extra charge or extra step for this beyond sending your measurements using the size guide — it's treated exactly the same as any other order. When in doubt, message us with your numbers before you order and we'll tell you honestly which size, if any, would work as-is.

Bridal and heavy occasion pieces go through the same studio, but usually need a longer conversation before we start cutting — silhouette, weight of the embroidery, how the dupatta should sit, that sort of detail. We'll always give you a realistic timeline for a bridal piece before you commit to anything, since these genuinely take longer than a regular order. If you're ordering for a specific date, tell us upfront and we'll say clearly whether it's workable.

Screens render colour differently, and hand-dyed or hand-printed fabric will always have some variation from one length of cloth to the next — this is normal, not a defect, and it's part of what separates handwork from a machine print. We try to photograph pieces in natural light to keep colours honest, but if a shade matters a lot to you for a specific event, message us and we can describe the actual fabric in hand before you order.

Most of our pieces are built to layer or restyle rather than be worn exactly one way — a dupatta can be draped differently, a jacket worn open instead of closed, a belt skipped entirely for a more relaxed look. If you're unsure how a piece will work for your event, send us a photo of the venue or the rest of your outfit and we're happy to talk through it before you order.

Because most pieces are cut to order rather than mass-produced in standard sizes, we generate far less leftover stock than a typical ready-to-wear label. Fabric off-cuts from larger pieces get reused where they can — for the potli bags, trims, or smaller accessories — rather than thrown out. It's a smaller-scale way of working by necessity, but it does mean less ends up wasted.
